Alfonso "Junior" Gonzales, 37, of Clovis died Dec. 24, 2003, west of St. Vrain.
He was born Nov. 8, 1966, in Clovis to Alfonso and Mary Aragon Gonzales. A graduate of Clovis High School, he worked for Valley Cabinet Shop for 11 years, then went to work for Ware Produce and then for El Dorado Dairy where he was an animal health assistant. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and American Legion Post 25.
Family members said he was an all-around guy who loved his family, and his nieces and nephews. He loved his truck, music, and dancing.
Survivors include his mother, Mary C. Gonzales of Clovis; five brothers, Val (and wife Margaret) Gonzales, Johnny (and Ruby) Gonzales, Joe (and Misty) Gonzales and Alfonso Sandoval, all of Clovis, and Manuel (and Jeany) Chavez of Pueblo, Colo.; three sisters, Tina (and Clifford) Chavez of Portales, Lucille Mondragon, and Cipriana (and Peter) Aragon of Clovis; 16 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew, and numerous cousins.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
The Rev. Sotero Sena will officiate at Monday's Mass of the Resurrection. Burial will be at the Texico Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jon Jon Romero, Peter Aragon, Joseph Mondragon, Visente Mendez Sr., Donald Nelson, Junior Montoya, Mark Nelson and Daniel Lopez.
Honorary pallbearers are the Ware family and co-workers at El Dorado Dairy.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
