Dorothy Laverne (Bullard) Dukes Floyd, 69, of Columbus, died Sunday, March 14 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. today at Parkhill Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Reeves officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus. Mrs. Floyd was born Jan. 21, 1935 in Sylacauga, Ala., the daughter of the late Compton Bullard and Mary Grant Tuck. In 1991, she retired from Sunshine Biscuit Company after 37 years of service. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her son, Gary Dukes, and three brothers, Eugene Bullard, Owen Bullard and Norval Bullard. Survivors include her husband, Perry A. Floyd of Columbus; one daughter, Teresa Dukes Guitrau and son-in-law, Paul Guitrau of Denham Springs, La.; two sons, Terry Floyd and daughter-in-law, Debbie Floyd of Dothan, Ala., Keith Floyd and daughter-in-law, Pennie Floyd of Pine Mountain Valley, Ga.; two sisters, Ruby Culverson of Columbus, Ga., and Shirley McKnight of Ellerslie, Ga.; two brothers, Bruce Bullard and Vernon Bullard, both of Columbus; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
