After 10-day Illness;
Lived Here Long
Abraham Bevier, aged 86, who
had lived in this city almost his
entire life, died yesterday at 10:30
p. m. at his home, 165 Main street.
He had been ill for the past 10
days.,
He was born March 28, 1849, and
moved to this city while a small
boy. For many years he was active
as an oil well worker in the Bradford
and Allegany fields. He was
well known and enjoyed a wide
circle of friends.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Florence Bevier; one daughter,
Mrs. Harry Stillnos of Smithfield,
W. Va., one sister, Mrs. Phoebe
Giles of Duboistown, Pa., and one
brother, Frank Bevier of Clinton,
Iowa.
The body was taken in charge
by the Koch funeral home. Funeral
arrangements will be announced later.
