Paul C. Ackerman, 74, of 30 First Ave., Richlandtown, died Friday in Quakertown Community Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy (Bachert) Ackerman. They were married 50 years last July.
He was a press operator at DelBar Inc., Telford, for five years, retiring in 1975. Before that he was a baker at the former F.C. Fritch Co., Quakertown, the Grollman Bakery, Mohican Baking Co. and Leroy Scheetz Baking Co., all of Bethlehem.
Born in Springfield Township, he was a son of the late Warren and Mary (Sames) Ackerman. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Richlandtown. He was a co-founder of the Richlandtown Fire Police Corps and served as fire police captain for more than 20 years.
Survivors: Wife; son, Richard P. of Richlandtown; brothers, Harold of Quakertown, Lester of Richlandtown and Ray of Quakertown; and two grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown. Call 12:30-2 p.m. Monday.
