M. Madison, a well known Livermore man, died at Lodi Friday. Mr. Madison was an old resident of Livermore, but several months ago, in hope of benefiting his health, he removed to Lodi to make his home with his sons. The body was brought to Livermore on the afternoon train Saturday and after a short service at the Methodist Church, was interred in the Masonic cemetery. The deceased leaves three daughters, all residents of this valley and two sons, who both reside in Lodi.

Merritt Madison, an old settler of the valley and a resident of Livermore, died at the home of his son, H. N. Madison, in Lodi, at the age of 69. The funeral took place from the Methodist church.
Mr. Madison was a native of Illinois. He was survived by two sons, G. F. Madison of Stockton and Harry H. Madison of Lodi, and three daughters, Mrs. Ida Anderson, Mrs. Maude Bruns and Mrs. Clara Allen, all of this valley; also a half-brother, Mr. John McIver of this place and a half-sister, Mrs. Adams, of Dinuba, Tulare county.
