Rev. Clayton Robert Allison, 70, of Laurel, MS, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Lynnwood Senior Care Center in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Faith Bible Church in Laurel. Rev. Raymond Horne and Rev. Drew Blanton will officiate. Burial will be in Faith Bible Church Cemetery.
Bro. Clay served his Lord all of his life through his ministry as well as in his community. He was a well loved and respected pastor, teacher, and friend. He was truly the best father and grandfather and through him, his family has been blessed. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Bro. Allison is preceded in death by his parents, Audra Hershell and Fannie Ethel Allison, a brother, Marvin Ray Allison and a sister Ethel Mae Allison.
Survivors include his son, Rusty B. Allison (Courtney), Laurel, MS; daughters, Angela Hughes (Justin), Laurel, MS and Kristi Bush (Gevan), Ellisville, MS; grandchildren, Cheyenne Hughes, Jay Jay Hughes, Kameron McCarty, Kaleb Bush, Jordan Wigington, Hayden Wigington and Noah Wigington; brothers, Glendon Allison (Judy), Cookville, TN, Ernie Allison (Murlene), Nitro, WV, Ron Vaughn (Edna), Phelps, KY, and Don Vaughn (Juanita), Plant City, FL; sister, Karen Plank (Al), West Liberty, Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews, and many faithful friends.
