Frederick Amos Beecher, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Beecher, was born May 11, 1877, in the town of Hamilton, near the old South Hamilton Baptist Church. About year one ago he was stricken with an Incurable disease, and after months of patient suffering died July 28, aged 53 years. On April 27, 1891, he married Nola Fairchlld of Sherburne Four Corners and their home was at South Hamilton until 12 years ago, when they moved to the present home just west of Earlville. Early in life he united with the South Hamilton Baptist Church and as long as health permitted was an active and consistent member of the Baptist Society.
Surviving him are his wife, Nola Beecher, and nine children: Mrs. W. F. Stroughton of Newark Valley; Harriet of White Plains; Henry Ward of Syracuse; Samuel of Mt. Kisco; Amos of Earlville; Mrs. Howard Planck of Erieville; Edith, Lyman and Fred, Jr. of Earlville; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Devlllo Reese of South Hamilton.
