She was a native of Reading, a daughter of the late Theodore and Julia Miller. She came to Easton as a small child, with her parents, and she lived for practically all her life in the 700 block on Berwick St., South Side.
Mrs. Schafer was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, South Side; Camp 15, P. O. of A., Phillipsburg; Grant Herd No. 19, Lady Reindeer; Rosalind Circle, Companions of Foresters of America; Easton Temple No. 210, Ladies of the Golden Eagle and of the Degree of Pocohontas, of Easton.
