TABLE ROCK ARGUS, Dec. 8, 1949.

Ralph Elroy Bowem, son of Silas and Effie Bowen, was born in Table Rock, Nebr., September 8, 1887, and passed away at his home in Lincoln, Nebr., November 26, 1949.

He had submitted to surgery on September 17 of this year in hopes this might restore his health, but he never recovered, although he was able to go home where he was patiently and tenderly cared for by his loving wife and sons.

On April 10, 1907, he was united in marriage to Grace Katie Horton of Table Rock. To this happy union two sons, Loyd and Ray were born.

With his family he moved to Lincoln in 1921 and has been employed at the Burlington shops in Havelock during his twenty eight years of residence in Lincoln.

He was a member of the Table Rock Masonic Lodge No. 106, Veteran's Association of the Burlington Lines and a faithful attendant of the Table Rock Christian church during the many years he resided there.

He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife, Grace, sons Lloyd of San Diego, Calif.; Ray at home; granddaughter Bonnie Bee, daughter-in-law Bee of San Diego; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Current of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Mrs. Della Holliman, of Hamburg, Iowa, and a host of relatives and friends.

Ralph was a true and loving companion and father, and a true friend to all, and always of a cheerful disposition, even through his past months of sickness, which he endured so patiently.

The funeral was conducted on Monday, November 28, at 3:00 p.m. at the Christian church in Table Rock, in charge of Rev. Parnell.

The graveside service was in charge of Masonic Lodge No. 108.
