Marcell Hopkins Bankhead, 86, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital. Mrs. Bankhead was born April 2, 1917, in Commerce, Texas. She was a retired inspector with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include one son, John Bankhead of Genoa, Ark.; one daughter, Diana Bankhead of Lindale, Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Woodmen Cemetery with the Rev. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
