Hiram and his wife Hannah were members of "The Little Brown Church in the Vale". Go to this link near the bottom for a story about that church. The photo at that URL has a plaque that includes their names:

Note Hiram & Hannah Fountain had the following children:

a) Corintha R.
   She married Erastus Newton Palmer.

I am not aware of any children...

b) Parlin Allison
He married Jennie Robinson. They had 3 children:
   a. Lelia
   b. Glenn Ellsworth
   c. Lysle H.

Note: So far I have only found the grave of son, Glenn.

c) George Hiram
He married Dolly A Brown. They had 4 children:
   a. Charles Arthur
   b. Lucien Horace
   c. Nellie Cornelia
   d. Harriet K.

I found the following submitted about them by Victor and Jackie Murray at this genealogy web site:

====================================

"Hiram Fountain, was born in Swanton, Vermont, in 1807. He married Hannah Strong Brooks in 1828 (or 1829...I have to look up the marriage certificate). They moved to St. Lawrence County, New York around 1840, and settled in the small town of Norfolk. Their children were George and Parl (or Parlin/Parle), and Corintha. Hannah's unmarried sister, Harriet Brooks, lived with the family. Corintha married a man whose last name was Palmer. They were married in a small town near Norfolk. Parl left home in his teens to work as a railroad laborer in Illinois. The rest of the family moved followed shortly after to Illinois, but moved soon to Bradford, Iowa, and then to Nashua, Chickasaw County, Iowa. Hiram died in Nashua and was buried there. I believe his wife died shortly after that. Hiram was a wheelwright in the early part of his life, but in the 1870 census both he and his son Parl (who came with his family from Illinois) were listed as druggists. George was in dry goods sales at that time and lived nearby. Parl's son, Glenn Ellsworth Fountain, was my grandfather, and one of his two sons, Jack, was my father.

I have other information now about all the descendants of Hiram, but not any more than I have just mentioned about Hiram, himself. I wrote to get more information from someone who lived in Norfolk, St. Lawrence County, and received a small history of the town, but no specific information about Hiram.

If you have any further information about Hiram, especially about his parents and where they came from, I'd be very interested. I've been looking at the first censuses in Swanton, Vermont, and there are several Fountains who could be Hiram's father.

You mentioned that you were descended from Charles Fountain. Charles Fountain was the son of George, and the grandson of Hiram. He moved to South Dakota...Charles also had a brother, Lucien, who lived in South Dakota, and was a farmer there."

Note: At this time, the grave of Hiram son, Parl/Parle/Parlin Fountain is not known. However, the grave of Parle's son, Glenn Ellsworth Fountain is known.
