Daily Courier, Connellsville, Pennsylvania, October 11, 1918: "The funeral of Miss Anna McMahon, who died Monday at her home in Ocean, Md., was held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ocean, requiem high being celebrated. Miss McMahon was one of the most widely known women of Ocean. She is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Harry J. Kane of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. James Winters of Cumberland; Miss Rose McMahon at home and by four brothers: Philip in France; Corporal Hugh McMahon stationed at Camp Meade, Annapolis Junction, Md., and John and Joseph McMahon of Midland."
