He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Burgess; daughter, Lya Burgess of Friendly; sisters, Alice, Maxine, Bernadine and Emma; brother, Hobert Burgess; sisters-in-law, Dessie and Gladys; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union. Burial in Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. Visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday.
