Mabel Shenk Brunk, Pikesville, Md., died April 14. Born in 1903 in Warwick county of parents who pioneered this community, she was a native of this area and a charter baby in the newly established Mennonite Colony. She married Jason Brunk in 1921. Much of her life was spent in the Baltimore, Md., area, but she kept in close touch with friends and relatives here.
Mabel is survived by a son, Jason W., and two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Peregoy Franklin and Mrs. Mary Sue Pratt, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also three brothers, Coffman, Ezra and George, and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Weaver and Lydia P. Shenk.
H. Michael Shenk, Harrisonburg, conducted the service at the Warwick River Church on April 17. Burial was in the church cemetery.
