SPRINGVILLE--Grant Miner, 74, Springville, died Monday at the Payson City Hospital of complications after surgery. He was born December 22, 1887, at Springville, the son of Moroni Albert and Sylvia Johnson Milner.

He married Bernece Nielsen on August 11, 1920, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Mr. Milner had worked all of his life in the farming and construction industry. He was a former member of the American Legion. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of Springville, four sons and six daughters, Mrs. H. T. (Phyllis) Jacobson, Provo; Bert D. Miner, New Carrolton, Maryland; Mrs. Guy (Ina) Stuerlin, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mrs. Paul (Lela) Gutienez and Mrs. Ernest (Virginia) Coleal, Lancaster, California; Mrs. Voneta Peterson, Van Nuys, California; Lynn Miner and Mrs. Nancy Whyte, both of Anaheim, California; Niel Miner, Kellogg, Idaho; John Miner, Springville; 31 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister, A. L. Miner of Magna and Mrs. Dan (Thora) Whitney, Springville.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Springville Second-Eighth LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop LaMar Crandall of the Second Ward will officiate. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock or Thursday before service. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
