According to her NH Death and Burial Record, her parents were William Johnson and Mary Henries.

Mary immigrated to the USA in 1856 with her husband and children. Her daughter Bessie was the only child born in the USA, all others were born in Scotland.

1860 - Living in Hampton Falls NH with her husband who is working as a farmer. Children : William a farm laborer, Hugh, Margrate, George, Mary A, and Bessy.

1870 - Living in Hampton Falls NH with her husband who is working as a farmer. Children : Hugh working in a shoe factory, Margaret working as a domestic servant, George working in a shoe factory, Mary A working in a shoe factory, and Bessie "at school".

1900 - Living in Hampton Falls NH with her husband who is working as a farmer. The data gives us her birth as June 1822, her husband's birth as June 1822, states they have been married for 50 years (1850 ?), and 3 of their 6 children are still living. Also listed is George T Drysdale a grandson (according to NH Birth & Christening Records he was the son of Bessie Brown and Thomas Drysdale).

1900 - Children still living : Hugh, George, and Mary. William died in 1870, Margaret in 1875, and Bessie in 1878.

Hugh is listed 2 lines above on the same census page, born Oct 1854, he is single, working as a farmer, and has a boarder, Frank R McLane who was born May 1863 in Canada, is a widow, and is working as a stone mason.
