George Washington Reed was born in Feb 1885 in Kansas; the son of Pleasant David and Dora Louise (Schrader) Reed.

George was united in marriage to Adelhite "Adella" Bader; the daughter of Ottmar "Otto" and Anna (Maier) Bader.

George and Adella were the parents of five children, all girls:

1. Dorothy born 1913 married Edmund Rust Call
2. Helen Jospehine born 1916 married(#1) Orlie Eugene Dutton (#2) John Freeman
3. Emma Mildred born 1918 married Harry Roscoe Ellis
4. Eileen born 1921 married Joseph Nicholas Fehrenbach
5. Eleanor Norene born 1924, remained single

George passed away in 1925 at the age of 40 years. His parents who lived next door, helped raise the young girls. Eleanor, the youngest, suffered from a brain injury in infancy and required lifetime care.

George was laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas.
