Revolutionary War Patriot, husband of Polly Hampton (according to the Emiline Minor - Henry family Bible) and Massey Hobgood. Father of Annie, Clary, Elizabeth, Francis, Jinsey, John Minor Jr., Marshal Minor, Polly Minor, Randal Minor, Tabitha Minor, Lazarus Minor, and Massey Minor. Will probated 1842 in Granville County, North Carolina. Grave is currently unmarked, but according to tradition and several records (DAR 'Graves of Revolutionary Patriots,' & 'Granville County Records,' he is buried in the same cemetery as Gideon Crews Sr.
