Grace STONE, 66, of 19755 S. Michigan Road, Argos, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, where she had been a patient since November.
She was born Nov. 13, 1919 in Oil Springs, Ky., to John and Dora ADAMS SALYER. She had lived in Argos 38 years after moving from Stockbridge, Mich. On June 1, 1938, she was married to Prock STONE, who died July 8, 1979. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Knox.
Surviving are three sons, Landa [STONE], Bremen, and Larry and Robert [STONE], both of Argos; a step-daughter, Joyce WEAVER, and three step-sons, Herbert, Albert and Ernest STONE, all of Jackson, Mich.; ten grandchildren; fifteen step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; thirteen step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mamie HAHN, Oklahome City, Okla.; Geneva FLORA, South Bend; Irene HARRIS, North Liberty, and Colleen McBEE, Fort Wayne, and three brothers, John [SALYER], Knox; Grant [SALYER], Silver Lake, and James [SALYER], North Liberty. A daughter and a sister preceded in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with the Rev. Lloyd HOWARD officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
