Decota Soldier Killed ln Accident at Field
Pvt. Alma Perry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Perry, sr., of Decota, was killed in an accident at Maxton
field, N. C.; Sunday, his family was notified Sunday night. Details were not reported, but the family understood a "jeep" was involved. The body will be returned to Pryor's mortuary at East Bank,
probably tonight.
In addition to the parents, survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Clarence Ellis of Wevaco, Mrs. Hobart Hodge and Mrs. Henry Hodge, both of Decota, and Mrs. K. Caldwell of St. Albans and two brothers, Alex jr. and Millard both of Decota. Young Perry had been in service about a year.
