OBITUARY (Observer-Reporter, Washington, Washington Co., PA; Monday, April 18, 1983:

Edward Bowers, 75, of McDonald R.D. 4, formerly of Graysville, died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, April 17, 1983, in Washington Hospital.

He was born April 29, 1907, in Graysville, a son of Ralph and Grace Pearl Carson Bowers, and lived his early life in Graysville. For the past 20 years, he had resided in McDonald.

Mr. Bowers was a tool dresser in the oil and gas fields and retired in 1966 from the Waverly Oil Co., Noblestown.

On September 4, 1943, he married Kathryn Kahlbaugh, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Eleanor Bowers and Mrs. Robert (Deborah) Moore, both of Washington; three sons, John, Richard and Ronald Bowers, all at home; one stepson, Oren Kahlbaugh of McDonald; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Doyle (Wilma) Kein of Kittanning, Mrs. Freda Tennant of Brownsville, Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Thomas of Graysville and Mrs. Earl (Georgia) Lewis of Holbrook R. D. 1; and one brother, Harold Bowers, of Graysville.

Three sisters, Mrs. Louise Tharp, Mrs. Irma Kilgore and Ann Bowers, and one brother, John Bowers, are deceased.
