She was born September 1, 1923 in Morehead, KY, the daughter of Myrtle M. (Kissinger) and Harvey L. Jent.
Olive was a tax consultant 20 years with her own Taylor Tax Service and ten years prior to that with H&R Block Tax Service. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ and also attended South Central Church of Christ. She was involved with the Senior Citizens Organization where she enjoyed playing euchre. Olive also loved to crochet, garden and be with family.
Olive is survived by her daughter, Linda Horning (husband-Fred); two grandchildren, Sonya Miller (husband-Forest) and Erick D. Horning; two great-grandchildren, D.J. Armstrong and Kaleb Trumbo; three brothers, Delmer Jent and Ervin Jent, both of Morehead, KY, and Alley Jent, Springfield, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woodrow Taylor; three sisters; and five brothers.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Coleman and Forest Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, and one hour prior to services Saturday.
