DECATUR - Barbara (Britton) Bailey, 79, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 12:30 P.M., Monday, January 9, 2012 in her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 13, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Barbara was born June 21, 1932 in Decatur, the daughter of Donald Leroy and Bonnie Irene (Rhodes) Britton. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1950 and married Charles Roger Bailey at the Water Street Church of Christ in Decatur on May 5, 1956. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2011. She was first employed at Chicago Motor Club, then was a homemaker, and later worked at Watkins Bibles and Books/Berean Bookstore after her daughters were grown. Barbara enjoyed camping with her family, trips to Arizona with Roger, Christian television and teachings, and flower gardening. She and Roger most recently attended Maranatha Assembly of God. Surviving are her daughters Susan Penny of Logan, OH, and Lisa "Leese" Lockmiller of Nashville, TN; grandson Christopher Bailey of Pompano Beach, FL who she helped raise; great granddaughter Onnalysa Bailey of Decatur, IL; and sister Shirley Fryer of Savoy, IL. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband Roger.
