She was born in Crossville, Tennessee. She lived in Pittsburgh for around 10 years before moving to the Wind Ridge area in 1967.

She as a member of Cameron Moose Lodge No. 758 and a former social member of Cameron American Legion. She was Protestant.

She was survived by her son, Robert C. Mours of Auburn Hills, Michigan; her daughters, Dixie (and Robert) Mason of Cameron, West Virginia, Alice Ashmore of Cameron, West Virginia, Linda (and Pete) Riley of Wind Ridge, and Dana (and Edward) Gravowski of Peoria, Arizona; her brothers, James P. Cox of Kentucky, J.C. Cox of Kentucky, Earnest Cox of Dayton, Ohio, and Fred Cox of Tampa, Florida; her sisters, Eileen Hoffman of Dayton, Ohio and Myrtle Cox of Maryland; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cordell Cox and Claudia (Woody) Cox; her husband, John David Mours (married September 24, 1952); her brother, Dewey Cox; and her grandson, Walter David Supe.
