Rees Davis was the son of David D. and Catharine (Griffiths) Davis. He was born in Gallia Co.,Ohio and lived there all his life.
Rees married Rella Greenlee. They had one son, Ralph M. Davis.

Death of Mr. Rees Davis
Mr. Rees Davis, living near Patriot, died this Monday morning of brain trouble. He had only been ill for a few days. He left a wife and several children. He was a farmer and a nice man and left many friends.
The funeral will be Wednesday about noon at Tyn Rhos. Undertaker Phillips of Waterloo has charge of the body. (Myers and Tope were the funeral directors that had charge of his body - see note below).

Mr. John Davis, brother of Rees, was in from Patriot today to meet some relatives who came down from Columbus to attend the funeral. We stated yesterday that he left several children. He left only one son, now 13 years old.
