Magdalena Yoder was the daughter of Zacharias Wagner, brought to the U.S.A. from Hesse, Germany, during the War of Independence -- probably as a mercenary soldier. She married Jonathan Yoder about 1816, and the couple had eleven children. Two of the children [Jonathan,Jr. born in Sept. 21, 1830 and Magdalena, born July 13, 1832] were born near Stormstown, Centre County, PA, but both died there before the family moved to Juniata County in 1836.
The other nine children grew up to marry and have children of their own.
