Eva Auenson Theriot, 87, a native of Berwick and resident of Bourg, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2005.
Visitation was at St. Ann Community Center in Bourg. Mass was at St. Ann Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Robert E. Theriot Jr. and wife, Mary Kearney, of Presque Isle; one daughter, Patricia T. Hebert and husband, John Stephen, of Houma; one brother, Medric "Spud" Auenson of Golden Meadow; one sister, Mrs. Ocie (Sybil Auenson) Mitchell Sr. of Bourg; eight grandchildren, Kane K. and Robert "Bobby" Theriot III, Mrs. David (Tina E. Beasley) Taylor, Colette M. Guidry, Mrs. Roland J. (Bethany C. Guidry) Donaldson III, Mrs. Jack A. (Rebecca L. Ledet) Landry, Jeremy P. Ledet and Jenny Beasley Paeffer; and 13 great-grandchildren, Kurt Jr. and Ashleigh Wolfertz, Ryan and Chloe Donaldson, Conner Landry, Zeik Theriot, Hobie, Harley and Kendall Theriot, Lena Beasley, Ryan Cape and Jamie and Jared Beasley.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert E. Theriot Sr.; her parents, James J. Auenson Sr. and Eva Comeaux Auenson; one grandson, Joey Beasley; one son-in-law, Reginald J. Guidry; three brothers, James Auenson Jr., Lenes and Cornelius Auenson; and one sister, Agatha "Nanny Gate" Auenson Lamp.
She was a charter member and past officer of Bourg Lions Auxiliary and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed sewing and fishing.
She was Catholic.
