Heart Attack Is Fatal to Wife of J. G. Kircher

Final rites were held Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic church for Mrs. Catherine Kircher, 77, wife of J. G. (Gus) Kircher of 222 South Cowen street. The Rev. Leon Pisula officiated and burial followed in the mausoleum at Calvary cemetery.

The Zimmerman funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kircher died Tuesday at 1:50 a.m. in Sacred Heart hospital. She suffered a severe heart attack Monday morning, Feb. 11, and was taken to the hospital the following day. She had been in poor health for several years.

Mrs. Kircher was born Oct. 22, 1874, at LaPorte, Ind., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hartford. She was married to E Michael Sweeney, a B. & O. railroadman, who later died, and in 1914 she married Mr. Kircher. He is a retired B. & O. engineer.

There are no close survivors other than the widower.

Mrs. Kircher was a member of St. Joseph's church, Rosary Society and Garrett Emblem club.
