This is an unmarked burial or lost/destroyed headstone. In 1958-1959 D.A.R. did a headstone census of this cemetery. At that time, records indicate Birdie had a small headstone in the family lot, much like her sisters Lillie and Bertha, with just her first name.
In the 1980's the cemetery changed hands. The new owners hired someone to come in to do a complete survey of the "old" section of the cemetery as the original records were a mess. All stones, their positions, and information from the headstones were noted in the survey. A new map of that section of the cemetery was also done. While the rest of the family shows up Birdie's headstone does not appear on the survey. Sometime between the reading and the new map her headstone disappeared. N one seems to know when. Kristie
