Anton "Bun" Wrhel,86 a resident of Albuquerque since 1952,died Friday,December 19,2003.He is survived by his wife Lena Wrhel of Albuquerque; three daughters,Linda Schulmeister (Richard) of Las Cruces,Peggy Wrhel of Albuquerque and Janice Wrhel of Santa Fe;two grandchildren,Darlene DeMondo(Steve) of Park City,UT, and Ron Schulmeister (Kim) of Las Cruces, and six grandchildren Nicholas,Joseph,Gina,Kevin,Michael, and Diane.He was proceeded in death by six brothers.Mr.Wrhel the son of Raymond and Louisa Wrhel,was born and raised in Pekin,Illinois.He married Lena Drago in 1940.They shared nearly 64 years together.The Wrhel's came to Albuquerque in 1952 where Anton worked and later retired from General Electric.He was a Member of the machinist and Aerospace Workers Union.Mr.Wrhel was a Lifelong Cubs Fan.He enjoyed fishing,golfing, and bowling.He was a loving husband and a devoted dad.Memorial services will be held Monday Dec.22,2003,at 1:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel,7999 Wyoming Blvd.NE Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
