Richard Webster or Dick as he was known to family, was the son of John Webster and Mahala (Glover) Baker Sr., he was born 17 Mar 1837 - St. Patrick's Day! and died in 1912 at home in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Dick was married twice, first to Elmira C. Moon. Dick had a total of fourteen children with both wives, eight with Martha-Mary Jane, Laura Louisa,Joesph Richard, Pinkney LaDora, Kate, Martha Elizabeth, Samantha and Ellender L. and six with Mary or Melviney as she was known - Hester Virginia,Irene M. Jane, Charles Raymond, Alvie Floyd, James Polk and Florence Ethel. He lived near Glover's Cove and was a life long farmer and a Mason.
