The family of Carolyn Peurifoy Bernard, 71, of Decatur will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bernard died Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born May 21, 1926, in Decatur to Hudson and Zana Peurifoy.
She is survived by five sons, Bruce E. Bernard of Birmingham; David A. Bernard of Auburn, John V. Bernard of Easton, Penn, Gregory N. Bernard of Nashville and Paul A. Bernard of Milledgeville, Ga; two daughters, Carol A. Bernard of Denver and Mary L. Bernard of Lexington, Ky; and 11 grandchildren.
