—Thos. Dobson was born in Henderson Oct. 25, 1819, and died Jan. 6, 1896, of heart trouble. Mr. Dobson lived for 74 years in the same place, a farm just outside the village. Two years ago on accounty of failing health he moved into the village. In January, 1857, he married Miss Julia A. Alden. One child was born to them, Mrs. Mary Weaver. In May, 1873, he married Mrs. Mary Enos who still survives him. The funeral was held at the Universalist church Jan. 9, Rev. L. [Lewis] B. Fisher, of Canton, conducting the services. The large church was full, showing the respect in which Mr. Dobson was held in the community. He had a wide circle of friends who knew and honored his kindly worth. For thirty years he was shut in from the world on account of deafness but now he can hear!
