Daughter of Rush Brown (1846-1905) and Nancy Wallace. Celia married William McAfee "Mack" Thompson on Feb. 10 or March 10, 1907. Mack was a son of George D. Thompson and Emily Edwards who lived in Van Zandt County, Texas. It was a second marriage for both Mack and Celia. Her first marriage was in about 1889, first husband not known. Celia and Mack raised Celia's nephew Oscar B. Thompson who died at age 20 in a tragic work-related accident in Dallas, Texas. Celia and Mack lived mostly in Van Zandt County near Mabank, on the Tundra-Mabank Rd. One of Mack's nieces remembered Celia as "Aunt Ceely."
