Mrs. Ignatz Markowsky, 69, died early today at the home, 1033 South 24th street, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m.,from the home and at nine o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Markowsky, nee Rose Borucki, was born in Germany in 1870 and came to Manitowoc with her parents at the age of three. She was married here to Mr. Markowsky 53 years ago.
Survivors are the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Carl Schroeder of LaPorte, Ind., Mrs. Fred LaBine of Tipler, Wis., Mrs. Ludwig Sabine of Sheboygan, Mrs. Thomas Gadzinski of this city; two sons George and Frank of this city; sister, Mrs. Frank Buretta of this city; brother, Joseph, of this city; 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken to the Markowsky home Thursday afternoon from the Shimek and Shchwartz funeral home.
