Mrs. Joseph Koprowski, 70, died of a heart attack Tuesday night at her home, 935 S. 25th street. She was a resident of Manitowoc for 64 years.
Born in Poland Sept. 15, 1866, Mrs. Koprowski, whose maiden name was Tillie Borucki, came to this country with her parents at the age of six. The family came directly to Manitowoc. Her first husband, John Pekulik (sic), died in 1917. In 1921 she was married to Joe Koprowski who died in 1928.
The survivors are six children of the first marriage, Mrs. Peter Hyska, Mrs. Walter Hanyzewski and Mrs. George Vitzer, all of Michigan City, Ind., Mrs. Math Wegrowsky, city, Joe and Anton Pekulik, both of this city; one brother, Joe Borucki, city; two sisters, Mrs. Ignatz Markowske and Mrs. Frank Buretta, both of this city; and 15 grandchildren.
Mrs. Koprowski was a member of the Rosary society of St. Mary's church.
The body will be removed to the home of Mrs. Koprowski's son, Joe Pekulik, 2411 Washington street Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Leschke Funeral Home and it may be viewed up to the time of the funeral at the Pekulik home. The funeral will be held Saturday at 730 a.m. in St. Mary's church, the Rev. J. M. Pociecha officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
