E.A. DEVALL OF THIS PARISH LAID TO REST Baker, La., Nov. 9
Edward A. Devall, aged 68 years, died at his home near Baker Sunday at 1:30 p.m. following an illness of only two days. He spent his entire life in the Third ward of this parish and was well known and beloved by the entire community. The funeral was held from the home of his son, Fred Devall of Monte Sano with services at the Monte Sano Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. D. F. Wilkinson of The Plains. He was laid to rest in the family cemetery on the Blount road. Mr. Devall leaves his wife, formerly Miss Margaret Robertson, and six children, Fred Devall, Mrs. George Shelton, Mrs. Gillie Crumholt, Mrs. Sidney Beard, Mrs. Lawrence Babin and Mrs. O. D. Johnson; also a number of grand-children and great-grandchildren.
