Apolinario Reyes married Juana Hamilton about 1870 probably in Santa Cruz County, CA. Their first daughter Cornelia was born in May 1871 with 3 more daughters arriving about two years apart: Manuela in Feb 1873, Ramona Vicenta May 1875, and Rebecca, June 1877.
This marriage didn't last much longer. By 1879 Juana Hamilton was the wife of a Mr. Rodrigues and had at least 3 more children: Amelia in Jul 1879, with Norina and Antonio following.

Apolinario lived with his eldest daughter Cornelia for a time in Madera County, then lived in Mariposa County. The following article reported the death of Apolinario Reyes. A plain slab of concrete with his name engraved marks his final resting place.

REYES, A. – FUNERAL SERVICES FOR AGED RESIDENT
Funeral Services for A. Reyes who passed away Wednesday morning, were held yesterday morning at the Catholic Church. Father Fitzgerald of Fresno saying Mass. Mr. Reyes was the father of Mrs. Fred Barcroft of Madera and Mrs. Rebecca Castro of Firebaugh. He had resided in Madera for the past 18 years, and was 72 years of age.
