The Tale of Jesse Cook's Ghost
Adam Watson said, "I've seen the face on the tombstone on 3 different occasions. The story of the horseman is a tale of Jesse Cook's ghost. It is supposed to ride down the road from the cemetery to what is now the Eagle's Nest. Cook partially built the brick house that is part of the Eagle's Nest. He asked his family to never sell the home in the event of his death. He never got to finish the home and legend says his ghost rides from the cemetery to the brick home where he is supposed to be seen making bricks from clay in the field around the house. "
