Born to Benjamin Coupe and wife Ann, sister to Thomas, Sophia, Joseph, and Sarah Alice. John and Susannah married 15 July 1853. They had 7 children, Sarah Ann(Willacy), Borleas(who later changed his name to Robert), John William, Ruth (LaBrow, Miller), Thomas, Richard Lincoln and Elizabeth Alice (Mercer). Susannah died of "chronic bronchitis." Sarah Ann stayed in England. John William was the first to come to the United States in 1888. Robert came to the United States in 1902 to help John William. Ruth came with her husband George LaBrow in November of 1892. Thomas I cannot verify any information on. Richard Lincoln came to the United States in April 1888 and married his best friend's sister Sarah Ann (Sadie) Smyth. Elizabeth Alice married John Mercer. They came to the US and visited John William for a few months and then returned to England. John came to the United States in 1895 after the passing of his dear wife Susannah, and the marriage of his youngest daughter Elizabeth Alice to John Mercer..
