Miss Thelma Ruth Easterly daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice H. Easterly of Watson, become the bride of Mr. Alec Douglas Pirie Jr., son of Mrs. and Mrs. Alec Douglas Pirie of Denham Springs, in a ceremony that took place on July 28. The wedding was performed in the home of the bride's parents, with the Rev. A. D. George officiating in the presence of the immediate families of the young couple. The bride's only attendant was her sister, Miss Grace Easterly. Mr. Pirie had as best man Mr. George Wasson. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. The young couple are now making their home at the old Pirie place near Denham Springs.
