Erected by Andrew McLelland in memory of Mary Milligan his wife who died at Hinton 5 Nov 1846 aged 82 years. Also Mary McLelland his daughter who died at Grange of Cree 3 May 1809 aged 3 years. Also William McLelland his son who died in India 1823 aged 24 years. Also Agness McClure his mother who died at Hinton 17 February 1843 aged 90 years. Also the said Andrew McLelland, Farmer, Hinton who died there 19th Oct 1861 aged 85 years.
Reverse — Also Euphemia Arnot wife of Edwin Cooper who died 14th July 1858. Also of their daughter Agnes died 7 July 1870 aged 15 years. Elizabeth died 3rd Oct 1878 aged 29 years. Also the above Edwin Cooper died at The Bogue, Creetown 24 Feb 1904 aged 87 years. Edwin Cooper his grandson died in U.S.A. 22nd Aug 1902 aged 34 years.
