Canastota, N.Y. Angeline "Angie" Argentine, 100, formerly of 113 Clark St., Canastota, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility, with her family and friends by her side.

She was born on June 23, 1917, in Hinckley, N.Y., the daughter of the late Antonio and Arcangelo (Bonfitto) Argentino.

Angie lived in Canastota all of her life, and was a 1936 graduate of Canastota High School.

She owned and operated, in partnership with her sister, Mary, "A & M Argentine" women's apparel stores in Canastota and Oneida, for 34 years, retiring in 1979.

Angie was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota, and was a member and past president of the Altar Rosary Society. She was, also, a member of the former Canastota Garden Club; a former member and secretary of the Canastota Chamber of Commerce; and a former member of the Canastota Zonta Club.

She enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are: a sister-in-law, Lena Argentine of Canastota; as well as several nieces and nephews, including Louis Picciano of Plantation, Fla., Michael and Lisa Picciano of Canastota, Anthony and Jan Argentine of Venice, Fla., Diane and John Patane of Canastota, Ron and Renee Argentine of Canastota, Filomana Raymond of Canastota, Donnie and Rosie Argentine of Canastota, and Leonard and Margaret Argentine of Oneida; her "grandchildren", Delaney, Cassidy, and Anthony Picciano; numerous great nieces and nephews; and close friends, Grace Rapasadi and Dee Claire, of Canastota. Angie was predeceased by five brothers, Leonard Argentine, Mathew Argentine, Michael Argentine, Lawrence Argentine, and James Argentine; one sister, Mary L. Picciano; two nephews, Anthony Argentine (California), and Richard Raymond; and one niece, Gladys Picciano.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at St. Agatha's Church, 329 N. Peterboro St., Canastota, where a funeral mass will be held. The Rev. Stephen P. Wirkes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. In her memory, contributions may be made to St. Agatha's Cemetery, 329 N. Peterboro St., Canastota, N.Y. 13032, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
