Andrea Carlesi Roberts, 42, of Springfield, Va., died Jan. 26, 2012, at her residence after a three year battle with leukemia.
Andrea graduated from Kittanning High School in 1987 and from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991. She was a combat helicopter pilot with the 101st Airborne Division during the invasion of Iraq. After her military career, she worked at the Pentagon as a civilian contractor for the Department of the Army.
Survived by her husband Brian Roberts; children Carolann Roberts and Dillon Roberts; father, Ronald Carlesi; brother, Jason Carlesi; grandmother, Delores Carlesi; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her mother, Carol Carlesi.
Funeral services will be held Feb. 3, 2012, at Burke United Methodist Church, 6200 Burke Center Parkway, Burke, VA. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
