EDGEWATER Esther B. Golden, 80, of Casa Grande, a custom jewelry designer, died Friday at Union General Hospital, Blairsville, Ga.
Mrs. Golden was born in Laceyville, Pa., and moved to this area 50 years ago from Wyalusing, Pa. She was the former owner of a summer resort, the Wyalusing Rocks, which was featured in National Geographic Magazine. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, New Smyrna Beach. Mrs. Golden enjoyed the mountains, camping and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; a son, Fred Browning, Blairsville; two daughters, Barbara Sanders, Blairsville, and Linda Connell, New Smyrna Beach; three stepsons, Jack Golden, New Smyrna Beach, Robert and Joseph Golden, both of Gainesville; a brother, Leslie Merritt, Sayre, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, Edgewater, is in charge.
