Frederick ANHORN born 8 February 1867 at Wittenberg, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia was the son of Gottlieb ANHORN and Christina STUBER.
Frederick married Anna "Maria" STUBER in 1893 at Tarutino, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia. This union was blessed with 9 children; Frederick, Jacob, Mary, Johanna, Ida Rosina, Johannes, John, Ida Rosina and Matilda.
Frederick at the age of 36 with his wife, Anna and their children; Frederick, Jacob and Mary, from Albota, Bessarabia immigrated to Canada in 1903. Their destination was recorded as Winnipeg, Manitoba. Later they continued on to Irvine, Alberta and took on a homestead about 15 miles south of Irvine: NW¼, Sec 14, Twp 9, Rge 2, W4
Maria ANHORN died in December 1908 at Josephsburg, Alberta, Canada. Frederick married the widow, Karolina "Carrie" MOHR on the 17th of May 1909 at Medicine Hat, Albert. At that time "Carrie" was registered as an adjoining homesteader of the SW¼ of Sec 14, Twp 9, Rge 2, W4.
Then in 1911 the entire Frederick ANHORN family moved approximately 52 miles almost due south, onto a new homestead located ¼ mile east of present day Hilda, Alberta. The N½ of Sec 36, Twp 17, Rge 1, W4.
Frederick and Karolina retired to the town of Hilda around 1930 and later on they moved to 424 Birch Ave, Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Karolina ANHORN died in January 1947 at Medicine Hat. Frederick married Eva BRANSTATTER on the 24th of May 1952 at Medicine Hat.
Frederick ANHORN at age 89, died in May 1956 at Medicine Hat.
