Death of Charles Doogs
Charles Doogs, died at 2 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home in this city, aged seventy-six years. The funeral services will be held today at 2 o'clock at the German Lutheran church.
Charles Doogs has been in poor health for a number of years not being able to do any kind of work. He leaves one married daughter, Mrs. Ed. Sandiland, to mourn his loss. She has the sympathy of her many friends.
Probate Notice in same paper:
In the District court of Iowa, in and for Pottawattamie county, at Avoca: In the matter of the last will and testament of Charles Doogs, deceased. To all whom it may concern: Notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of May, 1901, an instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of said decedent was produced, read and filed by the Clerk of said court and that the 3d day of May, 1901, has been set for the proof and probate of said instrument before said court at Avoca, Iowa, when and where cause may be shown, if any exists, why the same should not be admitted to probate. Witness the undersigned clerk of said court and seal thereof at Avoca this 1st day of May, 1901. [Seal] F. L. Reed, Clerk. By H. V. Battey, Deputy.
