James was the 6th of 8 children born to Catherine "Kate" (Quinlan) and Patrick Fitzgerald.

Below are a couple of excerpts from Monroe County newspapers that may help provide additional information for James Fitzgerald.

James P Fitzgerald (Abt 1864 - 1919) married Ellen "Ella" McGinn (Abt 1868 - 1937), daughter of Peter (1830 - 1906) and Bridget (Kelly) McGinn (1829 - 1904), June 14, 1890, Melrose, IA. They resided in Sioux City, IA.

Unfortunately I do not know the burial place for James or his wife but perhaps the following will help with the search.
