Funeral Services For Mrs. Roscoe Kimerling
Mrs. Roscoe Kimerling of Humboldt, died in a hospital in Chanute on Monday. April 15. She had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill since September. She was 66 years old.
Mrs. Kimerling, whose maiden name was Markie Weaver, was born June 13, 1896 in Concordia, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A.J. Weaver. She attended the Concordia schools and was graduated from Concordia high school in the class of 1914. Her marriage to Roscoe Kimerling of Glasco took place in Concordia, December 27, 1921.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mary Lou, Mrs. Blaine Pucket of Shawnee, Okla., and one son, S/Sgt. Roscoe E. Kimerling, Jr., in the armed forces stationed in Germany; six grandchildren and two brothers, Joe E. Weaver, of Concordia, and Richard Weaver of Wichita.
Funeral services were held at St. Timothy Episcopal Church in Iola on Wednesday morning, April 17, at 9:00 o'clock and the body was taken to Concordia for burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Graveside services were held at 4:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, in charge of Father Wilfred Hotaling.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Orebaugh, Mrs. Dora Lee Sparks, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cool, Jr., Mr. Joe Cool and Mrs. Grace Olson, all of Glasco, attended the graveside services for Mrs. Kimerling.
