Hazel Ruth Bowling, 68, died January 1, 1999, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Born in Monticello, Ky., April 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Minnie Branim York. In addition to her parents, she was preceded also in death by two brothers, Houston and Everett York; and one sister, Anna Keeton. She was a member of Black Creek Cross Roads Baptist Church. She is survived by former husband, Grady Bowling, Sr.; seven children: Grady Bowling of Findlay, Ohio, Linda Morgan and husband, Clayton, of Allardt, Susan Wolf of Texas, Larry Bowling of Calif., James Bowling of Toledo, Ohio, Cheryl Stimmel and husband, Timothy, of Robbins, and Sharon Butcher and husband, John, of Findlay, Ohio; four sisters: Ruby Moffett of Oneida, Addie Overton of Helenwood, Oma Jean Harness of Oberlin, Ohio, and Edeth Ellis; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; special friends, Dewayne Hughett and the Willard Lawson family; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service was to be conducted January 6, 1999, 2 p.m. at Black Creek Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Ellis officiating. Interment was to follow at Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
